Get to know Danielle
As the guardianship and conservatorship paralegal at Everbright Legacy Law, Danielle guides clients through the procedural steps of guardianship and conservatorship matters. When questions or problems come up along the way, she gives families the information and support they need.
For Danielle, building a relationship with each client comes first. She knows that stepping in to protect a loved one can feel overwhelming, and she offers steady support while handling sensitive information with care. Her focus is on listening, collaborating, and finding the most effective way to work together.
Those who know Danielle well describe her as:
- Creative: She loves arts and crafts and making custom cakes, and she looks for creative solutions to whatever issue comes up.
- Dependable: People in her personal and professional life know they can count on her whenever she is able to help.
- Hard-working: Her work ethic holds steady at the office, on personal projects, and even out on her kayak, though she also values taking a break when she needs one.
Danielle chose this area of law because it is about protection, which matches her values. She was interested in law at a young age, but the cost of education led her to social services and education instead, including work in shelters for women and children. Once her children were older, she went back to school for her paralegal certificate. That path brought her full circle to an area of law that protects people, often those in greatest need.
Danielle’s work fits her values and gives her more time with her family. She is inspired by clients’ resilience and their dedication to the people they love, and that keeps her motivated and learning so she can serve them better.
Danielle considers raising her three sons on her own, who are now young adults, her greatest accomplishment.
A quote that captures her philosophy: “Whatever you choose to do, leave tracks. That means don’t just do it for yourself. You want to leave the world a little bit better for your having lived.” (Ruth Bader Ginsburg)
Her next goal is to keep building a life that aligns with her values. She is currently reading “Warrior Lessons” by Phoebe Eng.
Seven words that describe her: compassionate, honest, creative, dedicated, curious, diligent, and dependable. One thing most people don’t know about her is that she is very handy. She can fix, build, or learn to make just about anything, and she tries the DIY route first.
Outside the office, Danielle helps her elderly neighbor with yard work, donates to organizations that serve vulnerable populations, and helps her kids and their friends as they find their way as new adults. She hopes to take on more formal volunteering in the future.
When she’s not working, Danielle enjoys time with her family and friends, kayaking, gardening, cooking and baking, and repairing and building things. She puts her creative energy into all kinds of projects, from crafts to construction.
